86+ miles of discovery

Ten days ago, I made a life-altering decision: to embark on the final leg of the Camino Frances. It's a daunting 86-mile (138 kms) journey over eight days, a pilgrimage that promises transformation.

In just a week, I've already begun to feel a shift. Every day, I've been walking 2-3 miles – a significant change for someone who usually prefers a more sedentary lifestyle. But now, I find myself restless, yearning for movement. It's a stirring not just in my body, but in my spirit too.

I can't exactly pinpoint what's changing inside me, but the sensation is unmistakable.

I'm training for those 86 miles of self-discovery, a journey to understand myself more deeply.

The prospect is intimidating, I won't lie. Yet, there's an excitement in facing this challenge head-on.

Through this blog, I'm capturing my thoughts, emotions, and experiences. It's a record for me to reflect upon after I complete my pilgrimage in 2024.

Interestingly, I find myself saying 'my first pilgrimage' - as if I already know this is just the beginning of many more to come. I feel it deep within, an unspoken promise of future journeys and discoveries.

I’m excited for the coming days. Stay tuned?
