For more than 3 years, I have trusted Aycee as a deeply thoughtful and data-driven operations leader. I watched her inspire an internationally distributed team to give their best to high-touch relationships with a global community.
Aycee was always willing to work through hard problems with me—including by identifying the data I needed and putting those data into an incredibly usable form. Her forecasts were detailed and accurate, and she welcomed requests for the underlying data—she never viewed those requests as a challenge to her competence, but rather as a deepening of the analysis.
I'm difficult to impress, but if Aycee told me that she had the right person for a task, I knew that we could move forward with confidence. Aycee was a master at figuring out the "hidden skills" embedded in the members of her team, and at identifying opportunities for them to apply their passions and expertise (even when the strict job description seemed to be asking for something else). For example, when I needed help validating a complex numerical model, she pointed to members of her team who promptly challenged my model every way possible and then recast it into a far more palatable form.
I absolutely could not have carried out that project without their commitment, their deep thinking, and Aycee's unwavering leadership.
When Aycee commits to a mission and a higher purpose, she's all in.
Here's the most important thing you need to know about Aycee: she's a rigorous thought partner who is also a caring and thoughtful colleague. She is a true treasure for any organization.
