boredom, oh noes!

I've covered 34 miles so far, and while I'm not exactly bored yet, I'm writing this as a preemptive measure against the days when boredom or reluctance might creep in. It's a bit vulnerable for me to admit, but I have a history of leaving things unfinished. The thought of abandoning my dream of walking the Camino Frances next year is a fear lurking in the back of my mind. Right now, I'm riding a wave of excitement, but what happens when that enthusiasm wanes?

Here’s my plan for those moments when motivation seems to slip away:

  1. Think of Our Clients: In October 2024, I'm scheduled to co-lead a group of 11 individuals on this walk. There's a responsibility there that I cannot, and will not, shirk.

  2. Reflect on My Progress: I've already logged XX miles since Day 1. Giving up isn't an option; too much effort has gone into this journey.

  3. Listen to My Body: If I'm tired today, I'll rest. The key is to keep moving forward, however slowly, rather than stopping altogether.

  4. Revisit My Bucket List: This pilgrimage is more than a mere walk; it's a dream, a point on my bucket list that I'm eager to check off.

  5. One Step at a Time: Patience and persistence are my mantras. Every single step is a victory in its own right.

I hope these reminders will keep the fire of motivation burning, even on the toughest days. Here's to walking the path, one step at a time.

Miles covered since day 1: 34 miles.
